Week 5: Assignment progress + Exercise Submission

Week 5

No class this week but have tutorial videos and submission of exercise.

Exercise 1: Tone

Objective: Understand and practice tonal value

Task: Draw a simple scenery and apply tone through lighting and shadow

Problem: I never do a tonal value in digital drawing before, it was hard to choose the right tone and blend it together to look correct.

Solution: I use a blending tool to help with blending the different shades of grey and change the opacity of the grey brush.

Assignment 1 progress:

I try to develop a more interesting architecture and change the environment setting a little bit. It has more eerie vibe now compared to the last one. I also try to test the colour for the final outcome. I decided to use red, blue, black, grey as the main four colour to create a quiet and bone-chilling(eerie) environment. 

Objective: To develop the drawings

Task: World, map drawing

Problem: Still figuring the building shapes but the environment surrounding it is complete, I still need to adjust and develop it into a more interesting and beautiful drawing. 

Solution: I use Dracula's castle in Castlevania as the main inspiration for the main building and I think the building now is more interesting than the last one.
